3 Ways to Recognize Your Intrinsic “Money Design”

Did you know you are intrinsically designed to attract the people and situations that support your innate gifts, talents, and skills? Within you is a matrix, a unique and individualized pattern of energy that upholds your very particular way of “being” in the world. You have a set of innate gifts and talents that are uniquely yours. Like snowflakes, no two sets of patterns are alike.

Aligning with your “intrinsic design” feels affirming, strengthening, and powerful. Your intrinsic design is a powerful attractor force, in fact, it is the attractor force, and is where the Whisper of your soul arises from. Your individualized matrix of energy and light is what attracts to you that which aligns or resonates with the vibration of thought that matches your gifts and talents as well as your heartfelt desires toward true expression.

Did you read last week’s article? In that article I wrote about how I was stunned to find my bank balance over drafted by several hundred dollars. I ended up in bed with flu-like symptoms and a two-day “dialogue” with the Whisper. It became clear and evident to me the ways I had resisted following inner guidance and ended up financially impaired, albeit temporarily, it was no less a wake-up call. I also learned we each have an intrinsic money design, or more accurately, a pattern for success.

We have, what LaRue and I call, Intrinsic Values. These intrinsic values underlie your intrinsic design. They mirror your innate desires of what you want to be and do in the world. We also have “extrinsic values,” which mimic the intrinsic values. These represent what you think you should be and do in the world. Here’s an example of what happened to me just yesterday (as I type this).

I had a client session that lasted close to three hours. We became so involved in unwinding some long-held patterns and beliefs she had, that the time felt more like one and one-half hours. We were shocked to see how much time had elapsed. (Example of Collapsed Time) Later in the evening I mentioned to my husband, “Well, I’ve got to get back to work tomorrow.” He looked at me perplexed and said, “What do you mean, weren’t you working today?” I actually responded that I wasn’t working, to which he quickly reminded me that I had a 3-hour client session! Oh!

I simply don’t consider “client sessions” to be work. How strange, right? “Work” I realized, to me, means doing things that I don’t particularly like. Uh oh! No wonder I tell myself I don’t like to work! Do you do this? Do you dismiss what you love to do, what you do very naturally and easily as less than “your work” simply because it doesn’t feel like “work”? If so, you are probably struggling with doing what you love and getting paid for it. Or, alternatively, you get paid pretty well for work you don’t particularly like. You see, what we do, quite unconsciously, is that we substitute extrinsic values for intrinsic values and compromise our intrinsic design or nature.

Here are 3 ways to recognize your intrinsic values around “money” and work. Your “money design” is nothing more (or less) than your innate pattern and energy that supports your talents and gifts and unique way of expressing those to others, in your work, in your relationships, and through your skills. In our society, money is nothing more than a form of energy that enables you to give and receive through your intrinsic values.

3 Ways to Recognize Your Intrinsic Money Design — Please answer these questions first, before continuing on!

Who is someone whose success you admire and respect very deeply? When you see his or her face or hear his/her voice you are in rapt attention and awe. You would most like to be like this person. You read this person’s books, or study their history, or follow their career. You may have several people you admire, but for now list only one.

How would you describe this person’s success? What characteristics of success would you give this person? (Simplicity, austerity, financially savvy, insanely rich, ease of lifestyle, etc.)

What would you have to be or do to emulate this individual?

Here’s a secret seldom spoken about or referred to. You will resonate with or admire what you are intrinsically similar to. What you listed above is a simplified version of your “money print”.

Let’s look at an example: (I asked my 16-year old, Taylor, the above questions)

Aaron, a young college man (21) who she admires.

Studies hard and can fluently speak Japanese, loves Japan and has studied there, loves the theater.

Study hard

As it turns out Taylor has taken Spanish and French and will study American Sign Language next term. She taught herself sign language when she was 8, using the format Helen Keller was taught, which was signing directly into the palm of the hand. Taylor, it seems is intrinsically designed to do “work” that will involve language, language patterns, other cultures, etc. She also loves the theater. She values hard study, but doesn’t necessarily like to study. This may be an “extrinsic value” for her and cause her difficulty down the road in aligning with what she loves, because she’ll believe she has to study and she won’t.

When you look at your answer to #3 pay close attention to what it tells you, because this may point to what you think you “should” do to have the kind of success you desire, and it may be an extrinsic value that is blocking you.

Your money design, the energy for success tied to your intrinsic pattern, can be described very simply using the 3 questions above. Next week we will explore how your gifts and talents underlie your success patterns.

In the Inner Advantage™ Course we cover Intrinsic Values in great detail.
